Amargosa dunes - Beautiful! ( goPro HD )

1st real footage shot with my new GoPro HD. If you are looking for some sick air you might be a little disappointed, but if you just want to sit back, relax and take in the beauty of the Nevada Dunes, this is for you! All footage shot with one GoPro HD. Editing done in Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 (render settings below).

GoPro HD was set in "R4" mode (1280x960).

Render settings:
"Windows Media Video V11"
Render quality "best"
Mode CBR (two-Pass)
Format "windows Media video 9"
Image size "(custom)" (just match your footage)
1280x960, Aspect 1.0 FPS 29.970, keyframes 3
Video smoothness "100 (sharpest)"
Bit rate "internet/lan" checked and "8 M" entered in box (I now use "10M" but the difference is minimal if any at all)
Audio
CBR, windows media audio 9.2
192 KBPS, 48 KHZ, stereo (A/V) CBR.

i just bought a go pro hd camera..all this editing seems confusing. what setting do i need to use to get a full screen when i upload to youtube? most my videos have bars on the side.....

@robbyd831 Render the final video with the same resolution as the original video, that will get rid of the black bars.

Nice video! I personally like R3 because it allows you to slow down clips in post production. Great video, great camera!

what did you mount the cam to for the reverse shots? The chest strap backwards?

with the helmet mount it is hard to point the cam at the right angle. My friend had his pointed too far down for the whole weekend. I guess it is trial and error. I am going to get one for next Glamis season

@robbyd831 you have to change your resolution settings on the editing program

if your camera is recording at 16:9 aspect ratio then you should render the video at 1280x720 to fit the standard for HD videos

thanks, can you explain exactly how i can do this? i just got the camera..and i don't post alot of videos on youtube. if u can help me out i'd appreciate it.
