I actually don't like Corella as prince on "Swan Lake" but he's the best Romeo EVER!

This is so beautiful - and I still can't decide whether I prefer her with Corella or Bocca. They are both stupendous anyway! But Ferri's Juliet is just a miracle!

Meraviglioso...

my ballet mentor had coached Ferri when she had first gotten to the States.. she said she couldn't do a double pirouette en pointe because of her amazing feet.. well idk if she can't do a single, she is one of the most gorgeous dancers I have ever seen live and still when I watch this I cry because she dances this way. One of the best of all time.

Stunning, absolutely stunning. So authenic and it´s so truthful, you believe that they´re teens in love. Thank you so much for this post.

Gracias por subir esta parte. Podrían subirlo entero el ballet de Romeo y julieta con estos dos grandes bailarines. Sería muy bueno!!!!!!!

@applelemonhead3345 Wrong! The Bard said 'Let Juliet be known as Lyn Seymour'. So Macmillan listened & fashioned a ballet from the play, with the great Seymour as his muse. Lo. it came to pass a young tartar flew at a French cop demanding sanctuary, then Seymour & Gable denied the opening night for which they had worked so hard, so that F & N could appear instead. It had nothing to do with art & everything to do with a quick killing at the Box Office. Shameful episode, great choreography

now im not positive correct me if im wrong, but im pretty damn sure that when shakespeare created the play he said "when this is made into a ballet it will be made for alessandra ferri and angel corella." i think i remember him saying that somewhere....

I hope this isn't considered blasphemous but I like Bolle & Kent better. : /
What I love about Corella here is that, I buy it! I BELIEVE that he is a 16 year old boy, a bit rash, playful, and oblivious to how dangerous this is. I also fully believe he is in love for the first time, and I love the smiles of wonder, and the kiss, all of it. Of course, Mcmillan's choreography, and the score alone are stunning.
As far as Ferri, what more can be said, she is breath-taking.
