@666mapexdrummer ok your name has mapex in it tell me is mapex any good or is it like some drumsets were anything under 700 bucks is junk my budget is 500 and i need a new set period the set i have now is the most amazing starter set ever however im definately not a starter anymore and i need a new set more punch and tone : Mapex Vs. I have an acoustic for jamming and performing and electric for personal practice. It's hard to tell which one i like more.
Electric pros:
Many sounds - one kit buys you many, Quite to practice, loud when you need it (sound contol). Small, easy to transport (but not to set up)...
Cons:
Cheap sets sound fake. Not always reliable(prone to technical difficulties) mistriggers(2 hits instead of one, or non at all)
Acoustic pros:
1 drum has many different sounds you can make
