  • you sound alot like me! have you been to any therapist? and is there any advice you can give me about experiences with prescription drugs my doctor gave me zoloft but it made me too tired and after I read a book about Prozac I didnt even want to try it! it scared me to death!

  • @zakzues Yes I have been to a therapist. There are some GAD drugs like antidepressants (Lexapro) there are benzodiazapines which are relaxants/downers.. like Ativan, and then there is a drug related to neither anti depressants or a downers, which is Buspar. It has mixed results but its non addictive and low side effect

  • I totally get what you mean about this feeling of outsiderness. You are the first person who is smiling thru their SA videos! That's great, u must not struggle from the depression that comes along with SA

  • @MegaDreamer88 im an excellent poker player :) ive got a good mask..

  • don't worry dude..

learning coping strategies like deep breathing and centering yourself.. and your thoughts will help you a lot.

for people like us.. things get worse if we fight the anxiety.. we have to accept ourselves and not be afraid to be judged. let things happen..

know that you can't control everything.. and that

everyone has something they need to work on.

whether they realize it or not.

  • i always knows these things practically, but when i actually get in the nervous situation, it all goes out the window...but ill have to focus on the breathing and centering

  • Hey I can definitely relate to a lot of things you said in this video. My level of social anxiety seems to be at around the same level as yours I'd say. I feel like an outsider too sometimes, yay to being a double minority! I just recently started to make vids about SA and it is actually pretty helpful, there is a lot of support on youtube. Take care :]

  • @astrolabe1976 Guess what!? I've developed a good mask myself! I can push thru the anxiety and smile a lot and look happy and ok and no one can really tell I have SA.

  • yeah i hear u, its like we're aware of everything .. even the things that we do 'wrong'. but physically and mentally we dont have that control in the moment. i have an anxiety disorder, so i know what you mean.

you end up fighting with yourself about it, which is the worst part.

  • We're very similar in that regard I am really bad in social situation and have a hard time meeting people . But once I get to know people I have heard I can be pretty cool. It's just the meeting part. And as far as Alcohol is concerned it works for me a little but I have to be really drunk before I really become ambitious and start to open up.
