"Idle threats against journalists are no reason..." We can't know ahead of time that they are idle (Al Qaeda's threat to bring its attacks to the United States wasn't idle--as we found out on 9/11--and assassinating a journalist is much easier). I mentioned that threat merely to show that even from Iraq itself Al Qaeda can spread terror to other countries. That's just one of many reasons, though, for continuing to fight to establish a free and democratic Iraq.
