Sweep Picking-Major Arpeggios

Lesson Description:
This is a great work out for your Sweep picking arpeggios technique. Be careful while putting your palm near the edge of the strings in you bridge.
It doesn't matter if your guitar has a Floyd Rose type tremolo or fixed bridge. Also be careful with your fret hand while putting your fingers an the fretboard,
each note must sound individually.
Follow the tab below. Don't forget, always practice with a metronome. There is no point to play fast and sloppy.

  • 2:19 Fuck you too man! haha I kid

  • @agy04022761 I know it´s a one year response but i ´ve always though it was a progression in the key of A major , ´cause you see, we have the A Major ( Tonic ) then we have E Major (Dominant ) and then D Major ( Subdominant )

The progression is a tipical I - V - IV and it sounds very cool !!

  • Wow man, well done, good explanation and exercise. Took me a while to find something this concise!

  • @Burtonianz arpeggio means broken chords

  • @tziras RIGHT ON my friend.......what a question....... You are cool Theo. thx 4 ur lessons.

  • you. are.god. thanks heaps man

  • sweeping from D on the 5th fret is a toughie :x... great lesson!!

  • @tziras an arpeggio is using the notes in a chord (FOR EXAMPLE: the notes D,A,F#, are in the D chord. a D Major arpeggio would use those same notes) and playing the separately to create a solo and in this case sweep picking.

  • @Burtonianz

Jesus Christ you could have easily answered the question!

You know what a chord is, right? Arpeggio's are simply each note of a chord plucked individually.

  • thanks again!!
