@bettiethepageluvsit fine. like I stated, it was a good tune back then. I didn't say anything about hecklers. Just that some kids thought the song was funny, it seemed.

Orlando, Florida, 1966. WLOF, Channel 95, played this at their record hops. Mustangs, corduroy pants, Gant shirts, chain smoking Marlboros, Falstaff beer, early access to fairly good Marijuana. girls wearing garter belts under their skirts as normal, Theater X on Channel 9 on Saturday afternoons, water skiing on Christmas Day, hitching to Daytona and back with a surfboard....

I was driving, with a younger friend in Atlanta. Summer '89,and his cassette starts playing... I'm Goin'... Wait....Thats I confess!!!! It was The Chesterfield Kings. Thats When I knew, it Was the F*Kin Best song ever (from 66)

took me years to find a copy of this record (in Chicago!) - guess nobody wanted to give one up... I know how they feel! As I've heard the story "I Confess" was put together out of parts of two or three songs they'd written; any truth to that?
