@vincemarc453 If you strain your voice cords too much it can cause sore throat, an infection or even totally loose your voice for hours. On the long term a singer can develop chronic laryngitis or vocal nodules, which can be a big risk for a singer's career.

Like a runner would warm up his muscles before he starts a race, like a violin player would take care of his expensive violin, the voice is very precious for a singer. So we can't blame her for not wanting to risk it.
