@sweetlibra1973 Mine required the same, but it was 4 months instead of 6 (Aetna) and the Sleep Study. Believe me that time will fly by before you know it....Good Luck! I'm 2 months post-op and loving it....especially since I'm FINALLY back on solid foods.

I just subscribed to your channel. I came across it today. I was trying to connect with people who are having surgery around the same time as myself, so we could support each other through the journey. My date is March 9. I won't post videos for another week or so. But you did a great job on this one. Very informatove....Love that Spam....LOL LOL. (I hate Spam)..

@cloudie425 Hello cloudie. Thanks for subbing...I subbed ya right back! Congrats on your surgery date...awesome for you. Looking forward to checking you out. Glad you liked this vid. Oh and the Spam...yeah it's not at the top of my list. But I have to tell you the turkey one isn't so bad and it's really soft. An easy way to get in some protein. I'm so moving on from that canned crap. You'll see me talking about clean eating in my other videos. That's the way for me to go.

Talking about WILL POWER!!! 18 lbs in two weeks. I'm not required to do a two week liquid diet per my doctor but I do plan on doing at least the week before whenever I get my date. How did you cope??

@jmcbribe The first couple of days were tough. I could have chewed off my own hand LOL!!! But you know... it got easier. I just kept my eye on the prize and I was held accountable to my surgery date. No way I was messing around. By that last night I couldn't wait to get sleeved just to get some relief from the pre op diet. But I'm so glad my surgeon required it. The pre op diet got me in the mindset of what I would be faced with post op.

Hey guys. I made I through surgery. The aftermath is definitely rough. Taking it one minute at a time. I'll have more for you as soon as I am able. Thanks for all the well wishes and encouragement.

did your doctor make you go thru a weight program for 6 months before your insurance covered the procedure? because i am in the begining stages and i am waiting for my sleep study appointment, and i am attending my first bariatric seminar on the 11th of feb.

@sweetlibra1973 Hi! No - my insurance didn't require that I go through the 6 months. I know some do. My required things to do list included the seminar, a support group meeting, nutrition, fitness, and psych eval. I did end up doing a sleep study because I get migraines. They wanted to make sure it wasn't because of sleep apnea...I don't have it. Heads up on the sleep study...they put goop on your scalp. I hated that. They should send you to any necessary specialists. Good luck to you.
