On April 25, U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) spoke on the House floor against the Republican leadership's waste of two full legislative days debating the Federal Helium Reserve while sequestration remains unsolved:
"Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of this bill, which shows that this Tea Party Congress will make the tough choice to keep children's birthday parties on schedule and give industries that rely on helium the lift that they deserve. Imagine, Mr. Speaker, a world without balloons."
