@dustypuppy Actually, I was out of luck, Sigmatel Audio has no Wave Out Mix option. They patched this for all computers except mine, a Dimension. So I changed the binary and programed it in myself, problem solved.
Thanks anyway.

Not really; what MIDI source are you attempting to record? If you are using soft-synths or an external MIDI module this will not likely hamper you.
Soft synths are rendered automatically and external modules can be plugged into your sound card input.
good luck

And if the Wave out Mix doesn't show up as a recording option am I out of luck? :(

@colaborar09 Yes, I don`t hink sonar supports the basic soundcard that comes with the pc when you buy it, you have to get a dedicated sondcard for music production. You there are several good and not to expensive sound-cards to choose from. Just try to google a bit. I use the roland ua4fx card and it`s working just fine. Not to expensive either.

This might be easier than you expected.
Select all (Ctrl + A) then go to File/ Export/ Audio
This will make a mixdown of all audio and softsynth midi tracks.
good luck
Hi, Is it possible to record your keyboard or synthesizer signals with a midi cable like a jack input?
I own a Tascam us-122 and don't really like the quality of the recordings.

@Morenob
No, the MIDI cable only sends information -
ei. what note was struck, how long it was held, what velocity etc.
The only way to turn that into audio is by recording it using the right cables.

Ug, My problem is that I don't have soundMAX digital audio as an input to the audio track, I only have the built in mic. I'm on windows 7 with realtek high definition audio built in speakers. Any ideas?

I wish I could help but I don't know the answer.
Windows 7 does not make it easy for us to do things like this.
Are you using an external MIDI device or keyboard? Maybe you can connect its audio out into the computers "line in" and win7 will recognise it.
Or perhaps someone familliar with windows 7 can help out here.
Good luck
