#OccupyKC, Oct. 1, 2011

Several dozen protesters started their "occupation" of part of Memorial Hill Park on Friday across the street from the Kansas City Federal Reserve building.

"Occupy Kansas City" is an extension of the "Occupy Wall Street" protest that started on Sept. 17 according to one of the KC organizers.

@nucsol I agree with you about our current government. I disagree with where the public demonstrations are being held. They should be on the Mall in DC demanding impeachment for Obama. When that starts, I will be there.

3:11-that quote by Thomas Jefferson is false. In Jefferson's time there was no word "inflation" or "deflation." This is often accredited to him, but it is false. Jefferson did not believe in banks. He believed everything should be purchased with cash, not credit through a bank. I have to be honest, I think so too. If we had never allowed banks to form everything would be cheaper because loaning increases the price of things. That is also why college is no longer affordable.

I see people waking up.Not all are seeing the matrix that is our reality.To those that do know,take it easy,give them time to intake all that is in this picture and find those hidden symbols that will show them the path to the answers.There minds will start seeing soon.And those that don't may just not want to believe,it scares the shit out of some.It did me at first.But with my knowledge of history and science,it put my puzzle together.I feel more alive and in tune with nature because of this.

You're putting emotion before logic and logic tells us that these people are 100% Justified in their anger over the current Greed Feed. Justifiable Anger makes large volumes of people feel Righteous and this can grow into something very ugly, very rapidly. War is the total failure of Government to do its job and our Government doesn't have such a great record right now.

We would not see the famine, poverty and discontent we witness every day. I have never started any war but I do study them and follow the money. If you are so grounded in scientific discipline? Why then can't you understand basic Sociology? I suppose Global Warming is a joke and that giant hole in the Ozone Layer is pure fantasy too? Use Objectivity!

@Kyanlikethepepper The media purposely made the tea party look like racist/idiotic people. Those were only a very few (probably placed there purposely). But it's not about tea party. Whatever political party you are on doesn't matter. You have to keep the people elected accountable and if they don't do what they said get rid of them not wait til the next voting session.
