  • Mosport is a great track - but quite honestly is it really worth it in heavy rain? With so little grip you cant push at all. It might be OK for a new driver to experience understeer and oversteer at slower speeds but thats about it.

  • Its worth it to me, for a couple of reasons: 1) I enjoy probing the limits whether they're high or low, 2) Having a low-powered car, the rain is an equalizer so I get passed less, 3) I'm cheap - I paid for track time so I'm going to get track time.

  • It has nothing to do with the price of the vehicle !! Oh those with little experience. It takes more finesse to drive fast in the rain. The rain will amplify your errors. You need precise steering input and brake control. The Corvette driver would not be out there if he was afraid of going off.. He simply could not outpace the Miata driver. IT was the skill of the better driver.

  • Dude... Use RainX. Its the best. The water will never stick to the windsheild.

  • Yeah, having fun on the race track is strictly verboten.

You had better be there to WIN (Nothing, as it's a track day) instead of improving your skills or having a good time!

In fact, if you're not a LeMans caliber driver, you should just go home now. The race track is for SERIOUS COMPETETORS only!

  • wait and minute wait a minute...you guys are all talking about the miata driver being better bla bla bla...the damn guy in the vette waved the miata guy around.

that's not racing and they were not trying to out pace each other...go back to driving your video games newbies.

and no, I'm not a arm chair racer myself. click on my videos if you want proof.

  • the sound of the rain make me want to take a nap.

  • Corvette suck in the rain. hahahaha!!!!!!

    Miata rules!

  • If you can afford an 80 thousand dollar car, you can probably afford to replace it. And if you can't, you don't race it. The latter applies at any price level.

No budget, eh? Then I'll just get aluminum/ceramic everything in the Miata's engine and put on some 15 pounds of boost. Probably around double the power-per-weight and on a much better driving chassis.

  • i love singing in the rain....

  • i love your number 3, amen to that!

  • I don't practice in the rain.

It just gives me a mellow vibe.

Drifting in the rain is for rookies.

  • me too, I'm no pro, so the rain gives me good practice.
