The Legend Of Hell House (1973)

Just a quick ramble shot early in the morning about a film I thought was absolutely brilliant! If you like your 70's horror, supernatural, or haunted house films, then give this one a go! Let me know what you thought of the film if you've seen it, which I'm sure most people will have already.

I own this film and it is epid Mcdowell does a great job in this film. I love it think it has a very creepy feeling to it watching it. You could almost say this is a remake of The Haunting. Similar story if you ask me. But all around great film. nice review man.

@the13thwolfman I can't wait to own it myself, really looking forward to seeing it again! ...and again! So creepy man, I agree, the atmosphere was so thick throughout. It definitely shares similarities to The Haunting, and is instantly up there with that movie as one of my top Haunted House films! Thanks!

@HorrorsBall So true, everything about this one is spot on. The atmosphere was intense, and it was a lot edgier than I'd expected as well. Instantly goes up there with The Haunting as one of my top haunted house films. Roddy was great. I love how quiet he was, how the other characters pulled the focus, only for Roddy to become so important in the ending, and his performance was great. Cheers man!

@Farrow1990 This one get's to the point pretty quick, and has loads of cool stuff happening. When the spirits communicate through the medium, it's awesome! Really worth checking out if oyu get a chance.

@kulfie No, I'll be honest I've not really seen much Roddys work, but I've added HGWMV and a few others to my rental account. He's amazing in this one.

@TheMidniteVapour It's a great film. Roddy is fantastic in it, his character is really interesting, especially as he starts off so quiet, only to become possibly the most important character in the films climax. Great haunted house movie.
