@Reazzurro90 How is that ridiculous? The only way to know what Jesus was like is to read the bible, correct? Many atheists read the bible, and that is actually how I became an atheist. Tell me, what other way is there to know what Jesus was like? Do Christians have a secret time machine that they use to go back and investigate with?

Anyone who has read the bible, or studied it can tell you what Jesus was like. It doesn't matter what religion they are, or lack there of.

God judges. Yes. Only he has the right to judge. This is saying that the United Church of Christ will not reject you because you are homosexual, a single mother, or anything that does not fit the mold. EVERYONE has a right to worship and learn more about God. Anyone who says different is under false delusions.

He doesn't reject people. THEY reject him. Anyone who judges someone for their lifestyle, even though they too worship him is a flat out sin. Jesus didn't bash and harrass people when for their actions. And people who are doing that today call themselves "children of god." Shame

The BIBLE is NOT a documentary of Jesus' life nor is it a blueprint on how to get to "heaven" Hell its not even a LITERAL account of what ACTUALLY took place...SMH ask GOD whatever you like and it WILL resppnd directly to you...If youre willing to LISTEN and ACCEPT what youre told...

I love being an atheist. I don't have to hold people up on a pedestal. If people would just walk a mile in their shoes, they would stop the judgments. For example: Gay people never 'chose' their lifestyle. I hate when people say that. Making gay people change their sexuality does not work and can cause severe psychological damange. Psychologists stopped classifying homosexuality as a mental disorder several decades ago. It's almost 2012, and things need to change.

@TheAtomicBrain454, well, yes ... I would agree with that. They reject God and as such they are rejected by God. The Bible teaches that God hates both the sinner and the sin. God cannot force anyone into Heaven.

No church should reject any person, but churches are obligated to reject immoral behavior such as homosexuality.

@TranzHunk ---The dif between shelfish and homosexuality is that Jesus declared all foods to be clean, but he did NOT declare homosexuality to be "clean", as reminded in Romans. Immoral behaviors come from within a man, and that is what defiles him, but all food goes in, out, and into the ter-lit.
