Thanks - my son (11) followed this lesson but did not understand what he was supposed to do with the paper and letters (a to e). I would suggest you clearly state that you will be saying a day of the week and we need to translate it into English.

I think you made an error. At the beginning of the video you state that we will learn the days of the week and how to ask "What day is it?" But you forgot to tell us how to ask that question!
