No... if you use the patch, you don't have to worry about running it on a Japanese OS. Trust me.

@immblueversion allow me o re-do this comment to one that actually makes sense.

I tried changing my computers language but it just makes a load of my things on my computer into japanese which I can't read, to play the games I would need to be able to understand at least basic Japanese to use the game which I do plan to do at some point, but it won't be for a year or two so I would like to ahve some kind of anime to watch inbetween that (even though I am kind of spoiled :P)

@edl01reviews Why can't you just change your region settings on your computer? It's just a few clicks away from the "Regional and Language Options" on your Control Panel, and costs the low, low price of absolutely no money whatsoever (Umineko is a non-Unicode program, so you're likely gonna have to choose the Advanced tab).
