This is the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway in Kent.
The clip refers to the reopening of the line after the war. The railway itself had been running since 1926.
They have photos of Stan and Laurel at the station - but they don't have this clip!

Lovely. We all grew up with them and many of us took them for granted. You forget about how great and funny they were, until you see clips like this, that is.

well posted -- JUST GREAT to see these legends in any context--- and also this same year (1947) they appeared at butlins skegness my old mum & dad got tickets for the show.
