This is just a little video showing the daily operations of WMU's Battle Creek campus from their own control tower and a usual training flight in their primary aircraft, the Cirrus SR20.
The pilot is my roommate and we're both in the College of Aviation. The takeoff is out of BTL and the landings are at Coldwater (OEB).

  • Embry-Riddle!!!!

  • Do they give commercial airline pilot licenses?

  • This school is the best for aviation.

  • I love flying and I love WMU, but the program could do alot better. SR20s are great and they look cool but they are one of the worst choices for getting ratings...Western says that grads will be better prepared to make the transition when they fly for a company...BS. They will just have less money. I'd love to see students learning basic stick and rudder flying than learning how to use a moving map. Give us back our cessnas, wmu.

  • 8 MONTHS BABY!! I can't wait till I can fly the cirrus!

  • @casj008 failure is essential to success.

  • I have met many wanna-be pilots in Kalamazoo, and Ill I have to say is either you have money or you do not. Internships in this occupation are the worse than most other. It is as plain and simple as that.

  • @casj008 that's not accurate. You have to do the "short course" if you come in with your private pilot license.
