It's the substance and the quality of the experience, and not the shallow plastic eye candy that you can get from every other FPS on the market.

this game is so successful because it's the ultimate Sandbox and survival game ever. If you don't have a creative imagination... You'll hate the game. If you're terrible at basic survival... You'll hate it even more. most Teenagers/young adults have both of those skills.

you must know nothing about games, the graphics where not ment to be good, thats the whole style of minecraft, it is successful because of the sandbox style, also the acceptability to lots of variety being mods, skins and other user created content.
Also the graphics are unique, it creates a cartoon-ish game style while still being a great game
Minecraft is only good if you have the brain cell to play it, thats "why it work out not so good"
