This is a short film that was put together for a final project for my audio/video class. The project was given to me and my group 11 weeks ago and had to be properly formatted.

This film was shot with a Cannon T1i at 30 fps raw video and was reversed telecine to 23.976 fps with H-264 encoding process. The specs of the film are 1280 x 720P with no scan-lines(progressive), Quicktime movie, Audio at 48000 kHZ.

We started out brainstorming ideas for a story. After a few hours we came up with a baseball story that would be a comedy. From there we began writing out a script and design a storyboard for the film. After we had a storyboard and a script to go off of we started to shoot.

The filming process took about a week to complete. During out filming stage we encountered many problems and had to work around them. One of the problems we had was the location we filmed at had a lot of ambient background noise like passing cars and airplanes flying over. Since we didn't have a boom mic we were left using a field recorder that wasn't great for recording sound effects. The wind made the sound effects harsh but with a little bit of sound editing we accomplished it. We finally finished shooting and began our final process of the project.

The editing was the longest and grueling process for us. Since our other group members had little to no experience in Adobe Premiere and After Effects. With the exception of Chris doing some of the editing, Jason and I were left to do all of the editing ourselves. The editing took roughly about 2 sleepless weeks to finally complete the edit process.

My teacher was impressed by our film and told us if he was an employer he would have hired us. It felt good hearing that since this was my first short film that i have worked on. I will add an update later with a full storyboard and script links along with a link to the bloopers/behind the scenes video. Thank you for your time and i hope you enjoyed watching this short film.
