Dr. Kameny, the man in the red tie and glasses on Obama's left, died yesterday on National Coming Out Day at 86. He and Jack Nichols organized the first public gay rights protests in front of the Pentagon and White House. He had been fired from his job by the government in 1957 due to his sexual orientation, but he was able to see gay rights come to the government which had fired him. Active to the end for gay rights. RIP.
@ccraig2008 thats hardly reality. clearly, its not, if we are making change. the REALITY is you need to get a life and be a part of the solution instead of the problem.
@ccraig2008 I am actually neither gay nor the partner of an federal employee, but it DOES effect me because I want to live in a world where me and everyone I care about can live in a much more equal world with equal rights.
@nietzscheonyoface You shouldn't hold it against me hints the "quotations" and to be honest I don't aim to have any type of intelligent debate with anyone who responds my comments on youtube.
@ccraig2008 really nice, no I'm not a "faggot" if by that you mean a homosexual, but if I was it wouldn;t change a thing. I really like how you haven't replied to any of the substance of my comment but rather devolved to the most infantile form of argumentation, the ad hominem. Its ok though, I won't hold it against you, all I can do is hope that one day you realize that discrimination on any basis is unacceptable and that treating homosexuals as less than others is morally repugnant. Much love
