  • Wasn't it nice for Pete to interrupt John just before he was going to play and demand he play Spike Driver Blues for his son.

  • Does anyone notice that while Pete Seeger is talking to John, John looks him in the eye and never looks away until he has to cough, then goes back to looking straight at him? How often you see that in life? Especially the culture being what is was at this time in history. That Mississippi John Hurt had something about him for sure....

  • @squeakystool mother fucker !!!

  • oh this is so wonderful I am spinning.

  • "Why did he have a red hammer?" Indeed!

There is nobody like Mississippi John Hurt.

His songs take on a energy all their own.

They are the most fun you can have on a guitar.

And Spike Driver Blues is a good place to start.

He is simply awesome, amazing and fundamentally authentic.

    Americana at it's best!

  • How sad you are that you missed the entire point of this great and majestic performance by adding race to it. Wow. I'm amazed.

  • "And he'd hit the double edge of em' like I hit these strings" (idk if thats exactly what he said, but you all know what im talking about) Such a Badass thing to say ahah, love it.

  • I love this guitar!
