Goats need to have their hoofs trimmed regularly, much like we need to trim our fingernails and toenails.
Transcript: (market goat farm)
Adrian -- Okay, we're going to do a hoof trimming demonstration and typically use three of us. We bring the goats out onto this platform and they need their hoofs trimmed, because if you see, just like your finger nails grow, so the goat's hoofs grow and when you cut them, you cut them basically along the growth rings. Snip off the excess, just like this. It doesn't hurt the goat. We also trim the hoofs three to four times a year, and that ensures the goats feet stay healthy. This is part of the general maintenance of the goats. If this doesn't get done then the goats will become lame in the lower part of their legs.
thank you but wish you used more lighting video dark

you think goats hooves are softer? if so then yes they are and it is very easy to make them bleed when trimming

I know there are alot of people who treat minature horses and donkeys this way.
By the way how hard are the hooves i know only of horses hooves and for some reason they look softer?
