Geoffrey Jimenez. that dude in undercut and eternally clad in soccer shoes lol. Yeah, I remember him, last of the presidents under traditional cheering DLSU Pep Squad, as I recall. It began to mutate to pyramidal cheering after him. Yeah, it's a bit sentimental thinkin' how much we've grown after all these years. Pare, naalala mo yung stokwa days natin nung college, sleep anywhere talking about these things over cheap tanduay or ginebra bilog/kwadro kantos lol.

However, I must say that each generation has its own thing. We like the loud drums and we like the pyramids =) It just looks COOL (pardon the use of a generation-Y term).
But like I said, we appreciate this video...which, well, I already consider as "retro" =)

That's right, each generation has their mark. Of course you have to listen to what your generation is asking. The new pep squad has taken out the traditional run around the court to give way to more pyramids. I remember back in then, the oldies naman were asking us to take out the drums and "ocho" to give way to trumpets just like the 1960s. We stuck to the drums. Haha.

In 1995, the DLSU Pep Squad was heavier on yells and never did without the traditional run around the court. The character of cheering then was communicating with the crowd and show of force rather than showmanship. This video is in memory of our dying traditions. Animo La Salle!
