On December 2nd Congressman Rob Wittman managed the Republican time during the floor debate in support of H.Con.Res. 197. The Congressional Resolution encourages banks and mortgage servicers to work with families affected by toxic drywall and to consider adjustments to payment schedules on their home mortgages that take into account the financial burdens of responding to the presence of toxic drywall. Several communities across the Hampton Roads region have been affecedted and Wittman has visited the homes. The Resolution later passed by a vote of 419-1.
