How come they still have phase 4's? Phase 5's were introduced in 2002 and The vid was taken in 2009! I love the catch and subrised Amtrak hasnt repainted them yet and the paint on them looks so new!

I would like to catch a P40DC in Phase 4 before all of them become Phase 5.

I don't think so. They probably will in the future, but no time soon. Here are the ones to be returned to service: 809 814 816 817 818 821 -released 822 823 -released 824 830 831 832 835 837

The Single Acela Coach is actually a Track Geometry Machine which is occeasionally added to the Acelas and run up and down the corridor. I believe it is car number 10004

Nice video. That's Ivy City yard, which I pass nearly every weekday on MARC. There is usually a pair of P32's there (forgot their numbers). Those P40's were moved there recently though.

Great Video Dude I Now Were U Was I Forget What Tha Name Of that place is called but i do now thats were acelas and others amtrak carreries go to get cleaned and thing like if theres somethin wrong with a train that were they go and those p-40's are used for oporating broken down p-42's

2 Are back in service # 823 and 821 the other 13 of them are at Beech Grove reciving overhauls. The remaing ones are in Bear DE, they will not recieve over hauls.
