True to the original? How about just true to itself? If you sing the word "modulation" there, you should actually modulate. But I get that it's difficult, so props for doing as well as they did.

Just to get technical, most boygroup songs do, too. They just change the chords but not the key. However I'm aware that it's not true to the original, but, fuck it, you know?
