http://www.yoshinkan.info Michiharu Mori Sensei 7th Dan, at the Dojo's 11th Annual Demonstration in Brisbane, Australia. Mori Sensei was a direct student of the late Master Gozo Shioda for 10 years at the International Yoshinkan Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, where he also taught.

  • As with all martial arts, espcially the ones that use joint locks and body throws/take downs, the student MUST learn to not resist, to blend with the throw and to absorb the energy of a technique.

    Clearly, resisting a kotegaeshi is not recommended, and if done with vigor, a resisted throw could easily break wrist, elbow, or result in concussions.

    Safety tip, only practice under experienced and expert instruction.

  • Yoshinkan is very deadly to those who dont know ukemi and resist techniques
