You can use glue of your choice to glue pieces of foam into those open spots & cover imperfections with spot putty (latex brand) which sands easily. I secure foam with small shafts of bamboo split off of barbaque skewers from Dollar Store. Shove em in at apposing angles using needle-nose pliers till just below surface & spot putty. This trick is good for crash repairs also. Latex paint is not that expensive either. This is a great plane and deserves to look extra good! Thanks for showing it!

Good mod. I have the same A-10 and did the same mod using Hi-tek servos. Much better esp....strength wise. Great video.
