  • This is really helpful I'm a freshman who's trying out for Winterguard so thanks for the tutorials

  • @iluvpnk8 its supposed to be caught at an angle

  • you caught it at in angle... not flat.

  • @abbysunshine1 Practice hard and SMILE. =) Good luck!

  • I watched a few of your videos, you seem to get quite a few sails...

  • @abbysunshine1

I tried out for color guard this April, as I'm an in-going freshman. (:

What we did, was we learned marching, and a routine, (Within a 3 day period.)

and on the 4th day, was our official tryouts. The 4th day, we mainly just got in blocks, and showed the judges (Usually the marching band instructor, coach, and band majors) how we spun our flags. Then when in a routine, you stand in a block, and take a turn being the first group in line. Make sense? (:

  • @OuranHSstudent Thank you :D ill try my besssstest!

  • @abbysunshine1 Just smile and look like you're having fun! :)) Be confident with your work. I've done colorguard for 3 years now and i'm now a captain and even now I still get nervous but, just go in there and give it your all!

  • does anybody have tips to making the tryouts?! or does anyone know what they do?help please! :)

  • @chicaquehablamucho09 Try asking your school if they have any they could sell you, which is the easiest path to take; However, not all schools will sell students these parts and if so then try looking for rubber chair stoppers or even the rubber stoppers on the end of crutches and a lugnut that's big enough to get the job done as a weight. Try calling Lippo's Music Store for more info.
