In the Father/Son Scene in the Garden, I think this was one of the best Father/Son Relationships ever in the History of Moviemaking. It also reminds me of an Article I read in GQ Magazine about a Man who has Lunch with his Father, as well as the Relationship between Jack & John Abbott on Y & R.

My family immigrate from Sicily in the 1920s (I'm 3rd gen. Sicilian) and were very loyal to our blood family. We do not trust anyone outside our blood family (my dad is full Italian I'm half but I'm closer to my dad) Sicilians are a lot like they are portrayed in the movie. Some people think wow cool! But you never talk about who you know, never. My whole family is very traditional Sicilians so thats how we apply it to our lives :P

@Tim33ist I don't think for one bit he thought Micheal wasn't made for it. Micheal was perfect for it. Young, Educated, Revengeful (at the time) family man so he couldn't get trapped and was level headed (unlike sonni) He knew his son was strong and the only one of his kids who had the heart to go on his own and do what he wanted too. He didnt want his family to grow up poor and was obviously fucked up in the head that he couldn't do anything for his wife or kid at the time. Hes the best DON
