Apple to Remove Home Button from iPad/iPhone

Sources say Apple may just be pulling the plug on the home button.

Sources have said that the reason Apple just added Multi-Touch gestures for the iPad in the latest iOS 4.3 beta is because the iPad (and maybe the iPhone) will be losing the home button.

@SlightlyXxHDxX Nah, that would't improve much, and it would stop you from being able to do a hard reboot in case of a problem. I MUCH prefer to have physical buttons so that I can force quit an app if iOS lags or freezes.

They could keep the home button but make it glowing and touch instead of a button :)

I would be more than happy if they got rid of it cause the button sucks and gets dirt and crap in it, so I can't use it anymore. I have to use the dumb accessibility thing that comes with iOS5 or somthing to actually get from app to app.
