Laura Claycomb has a sky lark quality in her upper register

OPERA FOREVER. I HATE MY GENERATION'S MUSIC.
-
As a lyric mezzo, I'd kill to be able to sing this aria at least ONCE.

Ah! Voilà la chanson mignonne La chanson d'Olympia! Ah!

So far this is the best version of this song i've found
-
is this Olympia's only scene? I'm playing her part this coming summer, I'm excited!
-
@brolobear I know right, her looks are similar to the Red Queen.
-
I have to learn this for my vocal teacher, any advice or suggestions?

Wow, Elizabeth I meets the Bride of Frankenstein. The voice is superb. BRAVA!

Fantastic performance. I thought the vibrato was free and glimmering. There's always some twits who can't recognise true ability like this, just as some called Pavarotti pinched, and others called Sutherland warbly.
This was brilliant.

Beautifully sung and VERY creepy...kind of like it's a production by Tim Burton. I like it!
