Real Steel Info:

The M1911 was designed by John M. Browning in the early 20th century and was chambered for the .45 ACP round. The M1911 was revolutionary in terms of self-loading pistol designs. The Colt M1911 served as the service pistol for the US Military from 1911 up until 1985 when the 9x19mm was made the NATO standard. Despite being replaced, the M1911 continues to serve in the US Military. It has also come to embody much of what an American pistol is. It still does extremely well on the civilian market, despite the fact that it is almost a 100 year old design. This is especially true when it competes with modern firearms such as Glock and Sig Sauer.

The Airsoft Gun:

The new redesigned KSC M1911 is an excellent gun. With it's full metal construction (except the outer barrel), this 1911 feels extremely realistic in your hands. Also, being all steel, you have the ability to use Green Gas in it without worrying about your slide cracking.

So far, I have had no problems with the gun itself. I have, however, had problems with the magazines. The baseplate on one of my mags cracked off. I believe this was due to the fact that i would slap the mags in pretty hard and that baseplate acts as a stop. The baseplate actually became completely separated from the mag during the filming of this review. The spring in the mag shot out and i cant find it. The only use for that mag now is for dry firing. I hope KSC fixes this design problem in the future.

Besides the mag problems, this is still a great gun. It can be an excellent addition to your collection. Just be sure to be careful with the mags and don't slap them in too hard. I am a huge 1911 fan, so that is why I still love this gun, despite the mag issues. If you are like me, then you should take a look at this very high quality and relatively affordable gas blow back pistol. It certainly beets the extremely expensive WA 1911s and the Tokyo Marui 1911s.

  • @Nayrbarr1234 Thanks anyway but I know all this stuff now :P

I'm actually going for a game this sunday which will be the second time.

  • @N64isgreat You don't need the bright colours if you're licensed (you need to be over 18 and have gone airsofting at least three times within a year and for more than two months). After that, you talk to the people running your airsoft site and ask for the required paperwork. Send the paperwork to the retailer and you'er set to go. Look it up for more details.

  • can you do an unboxing video of that gun?
