This video clip was filmed at 21197 feet (6461 metres) on the summit of Mera Peak, Nepal's highest 'trekking peak'. There are superb views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Chumlang and Kangchenjunga. For more details of my adventures, please visit my website: www.rowan-castle.com
Very good Vid. I am doing Annapurna BC in Sept '10, so this could be the next place to go.

The south summit (19,893ft/6,065m) is the most accessible with the north summit
(21,238ft/6,475m) the highest, which can be reached by skirting the central summit
(21,192ft/6,461m) to the north and following a classic snow ridge to its top. The middle summit
provides a slightly more technical ascent up steep snow with the possibility of a cornice to overcome
on the north side.

there are two mera peaks, one is 6416m the other is something else. the true mera peak requires more mountaineering ability than the popular mera peak.
