AMEN I love this song God Bless!!!

Certainly the most prolific hymn writer of all time, over 9000 Fanny wrote, and maybe the greatest of all time. This may well be her finest hymn, but she wrote so many. We sang this at our wedding.

@tallliza this wasn´t gods plan. the result of sin is death. it´s the result of our rebellion against god. even the roses didnt have thorns when god created them. but you´re right we´re living in a fallen world. thats also the reason we cannot see god from face to face. but you as an individual can decide whether you want to repent or to rebell against god

To god be the glory, for what ? For creating about 2 million toxins ? For creating life and the cut it down, even before birth. 4,500,000 stillbirths a year worldwide. For creating a terrible drought in Somalia ? Maybe he doesn`t like the Somalians.

This just bloody AWFUL! Why the hell didn't they just do a Rap version? Or, is that on the menu of things to come? Why is it that you Yanks have to wreck the traditional versions of everything? I don't for a second believe in God or attend church...after hearing this, I now know why. I don't mind hearing the odd hymn sung properly, but this is a load of bombastic crap!

@lizazoon I find that He does something, maybe you just haven't allowed him to work in your life. It's strange that people find it so discomforting when they go into a Pentecostal church when they know that they're regularly doing something they know is wrong. My mother has a friend who came to the church once, as soon as the music started, he got very uncomfortable. I feel and see God working in the world, I've read Miracle Valley recently as well, which proves even further that God does work.

A very good question? And alas.... I don't have an answer for that...... the 2nd verse is great too!
2nd verse...
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truely believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
