Police beat back Occupy Wall Street protesters, dozens arrested

Police in have been filmed beating back protesters at a mass demonstration in New York, in the biggest event yet in the three-week-long rally called 'Occupy Wall Street'. There are also reports pepper spray's been used, and police have confirmed they've made dozens of arrests at the rally. Thousands have been taking part in sustained protests to demand social and economic change. Activists say they're fed up with breaking their backs at work, while the Wall Street bankers' bonuses keep flowing.

If the labour unions are joining; then it is only a matter of time before NYPD learns the hard way. It is sad that the NYPD does not understand that violence brings violence.
