  • never tie any budget (like military) to a percentage of GDP. Just look at the price tags and ask --- is it worth x trillion for these blackhawk planes?? Do we really need it?? Its like a family leasing a BMW and cant afford it. Family may rationalize it buy looking at their combined gross incomes but fail to glance at their current credit card debt or mortge and taxes.

  • You other commentators are dumbasses. Mullen makes a valid point. In fact we should probably be spending a fixed 6% of the GDP on military matters.
