exactly! if people watch carefully, they'll see melody mouth deidre's name the same time it was called. So it was as if she expected deidre to win. why do people like to harp on melody? the woman is blonde but she ain't no bimbo !

I agree. She said "Deidre Hall" right when the announcer did. She knew she was going to win. She smiled right after she did it they just cut out.

can't blame Melody. deidre is the biggest backstage politician in the history of soaps(even bugger than kim zimmer-frightning)hall has kept a ton of younger talent down in the name od demanding front burner storylines 24/7 or she threatens to take her ball and walk. no wonder she and drake worked together so damn well

@DaxShaw She said in an interview she thought it was a mistake. Not that she was nominated, but that they nominated her the same year Lucci got nominated! Gotta love MTS :)

@Mitchapalooza80 weird, I have it on tape 2 since 1995 and I did notice "nikki" from y and r rolled her eyes but I don't think it was intentional.

These awards were, for YEARS, the NBC (especially DAYS) Appreciation Awards and were so flippin' BORING to watch for those of us who follow ABC or CBS.... now, however, I feel bad for those actors from NBC soaps since they're all but non-existent. The Soap Awards was their only claim to fame since ABC and CBS, more or less, were the nets that cleaned house at the Emmys. Now even Deidre is gone from NBC!

@The90sRock1995 yeah, in 1994 or 1995, Days of our lives won 11 out of a possible 16 awards. it was a popularity contest by the fans who voted.

Yes I do have the 1995 Soap Opera Digest Awards on tape. This clip is from my OWN personal collection and is not from your videos. I thought that would be evident considering you can tell I recorded this using a digital camera that was pointed at a television.
