This is Matthew Sturm performing It's The Nighttime by Josh Rouse. Josh Rouse has climbed his was past Ben Folds, David Bazan, Ben Kweller and Ryan Adams to the no. 1 spot on my favorite singer/songwriter list. He is a fantastic performer as well. This song is the first track on his album, "Nashville". For what it's worth I think that "Nashville" is his best record as well. If you haven't checked it out, please do. Thanks for covering this song. Josh Rouse is my number 1 as well. His albums are diverse and full of depth with each tune complementing the next.
