Alexei Orohovsky Le Corsaire.wmv

Alexei Orohovsky, Age 4. He watched Ali's variation on youtube and this was the result. We were teaching a summer intensive and this was our demonstration. He asked to dance Corsaire, and the parents and students willingly obliged. Hope you enjoy!

An incredible sense of rhythm - that's what kids like him have. It's amazing to see how he got ALL the movements of variation after have seen it; he simply reinterprets it according to his knowledge and his pure style :)

I think that this is the way to teach little ones ballet - let them fully explore the space, the music and the "shape" of the dance without getting stuck in technique too early.
