Zenyatta v Rachel Alexandra

Cause c'mon guys..... when the Moss's announced that Zenyatta wuld be back, they practically admitted that they were gonna go east to face Rachel :3 I'm so freaking excited!!!

This video took FOREVER! Around 18 hours I think, I lost count after 12 lol. Originally I was gonna put race calls over the top as well, but it seemed to rushed & cluttered, cause the clips move so quickly. Speaking of clips.... in 1 minute 29 seconds, there are 161 individual frames 0.0

I have no idea what the music is, I really dont. If anyone does know, please dont say, I dont want this video to be taken down cause WMG or some other music company finds it. All editting is done by me, completely, nothing was premade (like the fast clips are pieces I put together myself) and I would be greatly appreciative if you didnt use this video to make your own. Everything in it, including the music is found here on youtube, so if you want to use the clips that badly, go find them yourself & download them.

match races DO NOT PROVE ANYTHING!

both horses are great in different ways!

every time i hear the word match race i think of the greatest female racehorse of all time, ruffian, and her match race, everyone says she would have won!

ruffian was fit, and nothing wrong with her, she was a queenly as ever when she was taking the lead in the match race and then BOOM! out of no where she breaks down!

there has never been a match race between thoroughbred champions since then, why start again now?

@xxcrystlecityxx That wasnt directed at u btw, just youtube in general. I was never promoting a match race, only that we would finally get to see them race each other. I don't have a huge problem with match races. If Ruffian hadnt broken down we would still be running matches. If she hadnt of done it in the match, she would have done it in a work, or another race. I'm not suggesting we should start them again,but they're not as bad as people make out.

but ruffians trainer said, when she came out of that starting gate you can see, she hit her left shoulder really bad, which puts massive amounts of strain on the right front leg, due to the weight shifting to that side for support, resulting in her sesamoids weakening, and she broke down as she started to speed up, you can see she was pulling away, but thats when the strain from the earlier mis-hap took its toll and she broke down.... i know she would have won anyway!

@xxcrystlecityxx of course, & I quite agree. But hittting her shoulder on the gate could have happend at any time, it just so happened to occur in the match race which resulted in huge controversy and as we all know, the eventual end to match races. It's such a shame... no horse deserves to die like that, especially when they are doing something they love so much. Unfortunatly, it does happen, & it's the risk we all take when getting involved in racing, whether it's as fans, or a rider like me.

I personally prefer Zenyatta. Rachel Alexandera is an amazing horse and I don't hate her or even dislike her what-so-ever, but I gotta hand it to Zenyatta. She really does have a lot of talent and it almost seems like whenever shes loaded into that gate, shes telling the boys that girls can do anything boys can, but girls can do it in high heels. Don't argue with me. I'm just having an oppinion.

I think a match race between these two would be fine. Theres a risk in every sport, wether it be human or equine. Many horses each year still beak down n get killed, match race or not

@SuperCharlieKitty zenyatta only raced one way, which was at the back, and she wouldnt be able to pull that in a match race, especially against a speed monster like rachel, if she did, rachel would be to far away, no matter if rachel was tiring, she would still be to far away for zenyatta to catch her... but if zenyatta ran with rachel, it would be close... now we just have to see how their foals will go

This is the best Rachel/Zenyatta video I have ever seen. Great job:) I agree with Modelhorsemoviemaker. Zenyatta's the best, but Rachel Alexandra's good too. They both belong with some of the best of all time.
