  • but it never reaches a maximizer...This seems to be a bad implementation of the algorithm. Any thoughts about that?

  • you forgot the music

  • Hi, I'm trying to write my own SA algorithm in mathlab. It's a project for my MS. What function are you showing us?

  • Ehh...Am I missing something or does this video tell us nothing except: Simulated Annealing works

I don't see any explanation of the exact algorithm for the randomness or any links to such information.

  • A wonderfull educational video! good work

(seems simple but that simulation is not trivial)

  • boring

  • Simulated annealing is a fascinating, spectacularly useful method for optimization. Probably few understand this video, but I'm glad to see that it exists here. Probably more than any other method, SA has brought previously "hopeless" problems within reach.
