I LOVE Classic R&B music! Lionel did NOT lead the original recording of Brick House that sold MILLIONS of copies of this song for the Commodores. It was their drummer, Walter "Clyde" Orange. People should always fact check & make sure they credit the right artist(s).
Please go to YT and pull the LIVE, original "Brick House" video. Even the person who posted that video didn't recognize the difference between Lionel and someone else singing lead. Peace!

@fritzfrau1 I know somebody done cleared it already, but you should check your facts next time! lol

@fritzfrau1: The problem with your comment is that Lionel did NOT sing the lead vocal for this song with the Commodores. It was the drummer Walter "Clyde" Orange. Thre's even a video of it here on Youtube...

sorry I have to say there is NO ONE like Lionel singing this song, or any other song that he and the Commodores put out.. He made it what it is...he makes every song what it is.
Here's a song I listened to every morning a few yrs ago while receiving radiation treatments at M. D. Anderson hospital, The black and brown nurses and X-ray technicians had the best music....they would ask each patient what song they would like to hear.

I was just listening to the remaining members of the commodores do an "updated version" of this on an old Soul Train episode. It didnt cut it. Im glad Lionel stayed true to the original groove.
