CABOCUBAJAZZ blends lively Cuban rhythms with dreamy, wistful melodies from the Cape Verde Islands.
Currently the band is on CD release-tour for the album ʻRikeza y Valorʼ. The CD is garnering rave reviews internationally. - and is elected best worldmusic CD of The Netherlands 2011. Also nominated as Best Band, within best Coladera and best production @ Cabo Verde Music Awards 2012
The Holland-based group is a combination of musicians from Cape Verde, Cuba, Aruba, Germany, USA, Colombia, Puerto Rico.

The original line-up with percussionist Nils Fischer, pianist Carlos Matos,singer Dina Medina, bassist Reno Steba, drummer Armando Vidal is now extended with singer Alberto Caicedo, trombonist David Rothschild and trumpeter Joe Rivera.
With a mix of Cape Verdean songs, Cuban rhythms and jazz, CaboCubaJazz takes the listeners and also the dancers on a trip in a musical rollercoaster!
