Capcom doesnt remake the original, twice. If you recall, it isnt the same mansion. This one is Spencers home, different from the one he had built in the Arklay Mountains. Besides, the remake of Resident Evil on the gamecube, were already great, in terms of graphics and horror. If anything, Capcom should remake Resident Evil 2.
