Christians. Irrational Purpose in Life?

In case the text moves too fast, here's my justification:

The vast majority of all humans have a survival instinct (a natural aversion to dying) and a desire for success, and those who don't either have something wrong with their brains, or are temporarily depressed. The vast majority of people also desire children, and those who don't still try to keep the species going either by caring for other peoples' children or by providing goods and services to keep society functioning. Since these are the only things that the nearly all humans agree upon, it is logical to assume this is the "purpose" of the human race as a whole.

Furthermore, we can see similar behaviours and desires in our evolutionary relatives, implying that this "purpose" is biological in nature. Any other purpose on top of "survive, thrive and keep the species alive" is up to the individual.

*I meant to say that the best christians can do is point to the bible and say "this is god's word, or god's inspired word, and it says we have purpose". My bad.*

Ok I think the common "atheist" notion that survival and reproduction are a purpose seems to be a bit off. For one a purpose is a very subjective thing, everyone has there own subjective purpose. One can claim the purpose of life is to survive, but the fact is will this be your purpose if you were in a lot of pain? Let's say you had your legs chopped off and bleeding heavily in pain, but not dying. Can you really justify survival then? Perhaps a more pragmatic purpose would be less suffering.

Chomsky is oppose to university students putting up nazi flags in front of their dorm. Not even I agree with that, as I view it as freedom of expression, even if I disagree with the flag.
