  • Trying to talk to Conservatives is like playing chess with a pidgeon.

They knock over the pieces, crap all over the board, and then fly back to their flock to claim victory.

  • The people are going to be paying premiums, Dimwit. It's going to save Americans money who have insurance. Health insurance premiums for people who have insurance have risen three times faster than wages. Private insurers are also refusing to cover legitimate claims.

  • Both Parties are filled with nothing but liars.

  • youve never had a leg for the last 8 years so idk what the hell ur talking about

  • You have yet to give me a single quote, a single word from the booklet you say you've read "several times" and have "researched" to the point where you can "prove" Steele is telling the truth.

"As if people like you..." You don't know anything about me, other than that I've called your bluff and asked you to provide evidence of any of the wild accusations Steele is making.

But you can't. A half a dozen posts and you're still hemming and hawing.

    "I have your number."

    As if.

  • How do you punish somone who commits suicide? Admit it. You are reading it with rose colored glasses because you want to. For us who have been around a little bit it is definitely meant to encourage people to kill themselves who are down. Weed out the weak.... as if people like you haven't caused ENOUGH of that. I doubt you support the mission of our troops. People of your ilk rarely do. Take your pretentions elsewhere. I have your number.

  • So here's how it works. Conservative makes wild accusation. I say, "Give me evidence." Conservative says, "Find it for yourself!"

From the pamphlet: "Q: Can I specify that I want assisted suicide in my directive?

A: No. Assisted suicide is currently illegal."

Another part talks about making sure "all medical decisions made on my behalf...are in keeping with my religious teachings."

    Urging suicide? Hardly.

Admit it. You have nothing. You're just repeating what you've been told.

  • It is in the pamphlet I named. It is posted several places online, including a US Representative's congressional site.

I do not care what AMVETS claimed. I read it. I am also a Vet. AMVETS is always trying to improve the Vets ghettos.... "hospitals."

I tried to publish a link to the pamphlet. I told you the information was there. If you are too lazy to do a little work for it, too bad. I am not your mother. Make your own bed.

I am going back to reading H.R.3962. You are on your own.

  • If you have "actually read the pamphlet. More than once, in fact" then you should be able to quote the sections that urge veterans to consider suicide, as Michael Steele alleges the pamphlet does.

It's really very simple. You were the one who said you'd "researched" this and could prove Steele was right. You even gave me a page number. So, give me the quotes from that page. Why is this so difficult for you, since you've read it so many times?

Or are you just parroting some RW website?

  • You are attacking me rather than bringing the evidence, or, indeed, looking at it. I have read the pamphlet.

I also know that initially Bush approved its use until he understood the implications. I have actually read the pamphlet. More than once, in fact. You would do well to drop your partisan rhetoric and read it yourself.

  • "I have researched it myself..."

But not well enough to have actually read the pamphlet, right? I asked you for quotes supporting your parroted talking points, and you tell me, "get the exact quotes yourself."

So if I say "JohnLloydScharf" is a self-admitted pedophile, and you say, "prove it," my response can be: "Go get the evidence yourself"? That's what passes for GOP debate these days?

    Pathetic.

  • As I suspected, you don't have any actual quotes from the pamphlet, just the nonsense spouted in the right wing echo chamber.

As for the idea that "Bush reviewed it, he ceased allowing it" that's nonsense as well. The panel of experts the Bush administration appointed to review the material "overwhelming praised the manual's benefits and decided to continue circulation." That's according to American Veteran Magazine, which is published by AMVETs.

So admit it, you've got nothing.
