@shepardpies ...um...I really don't know why both you and catfoodnews responded as if I was complaining about an imperfection in this rendition. I believe I pretty clearly enjoyed the little flourish (to quote myself: "It is different from the album version...but it sounds cool" - the horseytown post was also mine (a newer account, I don't really use ganubis that much anymore because I forgot my password) .
I WAS NOT COMPLAINING. THERE IS NO NEED FOR CONFRONTATION. Sheesh.
It is different from the album version. After the guitar cuts out on the album the drums DO NOT CHANGE, but here in this version there is a little bit where the drummer holds back on a couple of snare hits and then catches up with a double tap on the bass pedal and they re-enter the main hook normally. The part from 0:14-0:18 is definitely different from the album version...it might have been nothing more than a momentary loss of time recovery, but it sounds cool.
I don't know why anyone is complaining. It sounded good. Who cares if it is the same as the album version

Album version is golden. I can't wait to see them next month. Built to Spill is on my top five!

Jesus. I thought he meant about the guitar cutting out there, not the drum fill. Sorry.

That's how the song goes.

Was that little extra bit in there (at about 0:15) deliberate? It was cool.
